    "My Sunset Sky"

    Song: My Sunset Sky

Story: Written after I realise that I need to let Emma go, with a lingering hope that some day our love will win out

    When: Prologue

    Sunset Sky by ShaneKevins

    Lyrics:

Last time that I spoke to you,

You told me how our love would fly,

    Way above the cityscape,

To where young lovers live eternally.

You told me how I'd always be,

Your strength our faith, your destiny,

But how was I supposed to know,

Your words would soon become a memory.

I don't see how you could,

    Say that you always would,

    Be my Sunset Sky.

'Cause I know the tears that roll down your face aren't for me,

They're for the man you hoped I would be,

And I know the breath that you took from me wont be,

the last one that you'll ever see,

    Oh My Sunset Sky.

I've seen too many people cry,

About their past regrets gone by,

They talk as if the battle's lost,

When they gave up before it had begun.

Instead I'll ask for one last chance,

To hold you close, your lips to mine,

And in that moment we will be,

    Right together for eternity.

I don't see how you could,

    Say that you always would,

    Be my Sunset Sky

'Cause I know the tears that roll down your face aren't for me,

They're for the man you hoped I would be,

And I know the breath that you took from me wont be,

the last one that you'll ever see,

    Oh My Sunset Sky.
